In 2013 the National Agricultural Fieldays Sir Don Llewellyn Scholarship was awarded to two recipients Talia Hicks and Nadia Laubscher.
Nadia studied soil flipping in the Galatea basin and the effect this has on the soil makeup and moisture retention of the soil. Nadia graduated with an MSc in Earth Sciences and Biological Sciences.
Talia’s research was looking at how to decolour bloodmeal and work this into the bioplastic manufacturing process.
